My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Ohio Alliance For Arts In Education, Columbus, OH, USA
My daughter hopes to be a music teacher in a few years. Today she is in high school and plays the violin. The Ohio Alliance works with the Kennedy Center and my daughter had the opportunity to submit an application and audition CD to participate in the Kennedy Center Summer Music Institute. We got the nicest letter today and my daughter is one of Ohio's five finalist. Even if she doesn't win the competition, she is so proud to have been selected and has hugged the letter all evening. We found this organization a couple years ago when our school was going to cut arts classes. They are a good organization.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
is the depth of information and experience of the people.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
nice and helpful. Not a lot of staff but very dedicated.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
have local offices all around Ohio.
Ways to make it better...
we weren't in a crisis. I learned that being active in advance of a crisis will likely avoid a crisis.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
time, resources, and money. Arts education is facing many struggles at all levels.
One thing I'd also say is that...
the Ohio Alliance is thee organization in our state that really supports arts education.
