Review for OHIO CITIZENS COMMITTEE FOR THE ARTS FOUNDATION, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I called the Ohio Citizens for the Arts seeking information about the economic impact of the arts in Ohio. The lady I spoke with gave me a wealth of information, sent me information by email, and followed up with a packet of information by US mail. WOW ... I was impressed.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their ability to provide information quickly.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

professional and personable, talented and helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach out to people statewide and make them advocates for the arts.

Ways to make it better...

I had contacted them sooner!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

not enough people know about them

One thing I'd also say is that...

the arts need every single one of us to talk with policy makers to educate them about the need for the arts.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About once a year

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  General Member of the Public & I used the information they provided to me to write a letter to my Senator.

Review for OHIO ALLIANCE FOR ARTS IN EDUCATION, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I teach visual art in Cleveland, Ohio and I love the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education. They provide the best information, resources, and professional development. Their work with teachers, administrators, higher ed, and arts organizations is first class! Check out the weekly Arts on Line at www.OAAE.net I am a member and encourage every arts educator to join too. The best $40 I've ever spent.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the dedication of the executive director. She is like a personal coach without a fee.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

outstanding. A great group of people who are passionate about their work.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

have statewide professional development for every arts educator in every school.

Ways to make it better...

I had ten of my colleagues joining in the workshops with me so that they could learn with me.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

funding ... state budget cuts and dwindling foundation support are painful.

One thing I'd also say is that...

this organization is related to the Kennedy Center and Americans for the arts.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
