The Emmaus House, located in my old neighborhood over on Hank Aaron Dr. helped me out about a year ago. Out of all the organizations I went to, I found this place to be the most easy going and giving. They helped my mother and I with bill assistance and finding jobs. When we got in touch with them, we do so at the last minute and we felt blessed that they helped us out. I found this organization to be hands on with the community and I found them to be very helpful and generous. For people in the area, I would definitely recommend this place.

They could really help the whole community even more. There's a lot of poverty in the peoplestown area that could be majorly changed by this organization.

I used United Way as a resource when I was in some very hard times. I'm thankful we had it because it provided us information on where we could get food, where we could get bill assistance and etc. At the same time though, there was a lot of times United Way gave wrong information, which could have been easily avoided. Overall though, I would say they've helped a lot though.
