Review for Partnership With Native Americans, Addison, TX, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I gave once, believing in the cause of education. My contact information has been passed around like a piece of fresh meat. I receive a relentless stream of expensive mailings and phone calls from all manner of organizations under the National Relief Charities umbrella. One asked for money for blankets for the Indians. On checking, I found that 25% of money raised goes to more fund raising.
Efforts to be removed from their contact list have failed. Do not make eye-contact.

They claim to be top-rated by Great Nonprofits, which makes this organization suspect as well.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Respect their donors. Refusal to take me off of their contact list wastes their money and my time.

In behalf of National Relief Charities (NRC), we are top-rated on Great Nonprofits because of the many positive reviews from partners and participants. We make a difference on the reservations. Regarding our work with donors, NRC has built several internal systems to allow donors to choose how much mail, email or phone contact they prefer. Unfortunately, we find that donors often leave requests like these with the wrong department or without enough information to properly execute the requests. ** SYSTEMS AVAILABLE TO DONORS: 1) To contact our programs, look for the Donor Relation’s telephone number and mailing address on each mail piece. 2) To contact the Donor Relations Specialist for NRC programs, call 1-800-416-8102, Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 4pm Eastern Standard Time. 3) To have no contact from NRC at all, just ask the Donor Relations Specialist to be removed from "all programs." 4) To change contact preferences online, a form is available at: http://www.nrcprograms.org/site/PageServer?pagename=request_form . 5) To request that contact information not be shared with outside organizations, please use any of the above systems. This option is often overlooked, but we encourage donors to make this request as well.
