My husband and I are retired and after the death of our elderly dog (who shared out life for narly 16 years), we said "No more dogs!" We found ourselves very sad and started looking for a pet to fill the hole in our hearts. Through Adopt-s-Pet, we were put into contact with ResQ Animal Coalition. We filled out an adoption application and made the 130 mile trip to Redding to see the rescue pups. When we entered the Hartnell store, one little fellow was overjoyed to see us. We left within the hour with Henri Louis ("Louie"), a most loving and funny Bichon Frise'. I can only say that these are remarkable people who put a tremendous amount of energy and love into finding homes for small dogs, cats, and birds. If you are looking for a pet, please adopt from a rescue. The animals have been neutered, have received their shots, and some are microchipped. They get all necessary veterninary care. ResQ Animal Coalition rescues and distributes love.
