Review for Shoreline Solar Project, Shoreline, WA, USA
Shoreline Solar Project was established in 2004 to educate and inspire the community about alternative energy and sustainable living. They successfully lobbied to have solar installed on two elementary schools and paved the way for additional solar installations on other schools and Shoreline City Hall. In addition to creating NW SolarFest, the premiere renewable energy and sustainable living fair in the state, they also sponsor or produce hands on work shops, North King County Green Business Forum, Solar Powered model car races and a Holiday Lighting Contest. Shoreline Solar Project is a 501(c)3 all volunteer organization. Volunteering with the organization has been a tremendous learning experience that contributed to my finding employment in the field of heating and energy.
