My sister, Linna Reusmann, told me about a nonprofit organization she was volunteering at. The organization is Begin Again Farms and operated by Rhonda Jackson. To say I was very impressed when we pulled into the farm is an understatement. The fencing was great and the pastures were green and lush. Begin Again Farms is a home to abused, neglected, injured and elderly animals. There are mostly horses there but they also have minis, donkeys, and even a bull! The barn and stable areas are neat and very functional. Each feeding is custon blended for each animal along with the appropriate medications. The farm runs smooth and very efficient by Rhonda and the volunteers. Adoption is the desired plan for each animal, but many are too injured or just too elderly to be adopted out. Those animals are there and will live a very comfortable until their end. I love Begin Again Farms and encourage everyone to be a volunteer as it is a rewarding act.
