Volunteering for NCYLS was an amazing experience. I helped video the event and saw so many young adults find their voice and confidence. I've stayed in touch with many of the people that attended and volunteered in 2011 and have seen many of them go on to be active members of their communities, making a difference in their world and getting involved to create a positive future for all. It helped me on a personal level realize that I didn't have to be a passive observer in my community and I have since initiated charity drives in the wake of tragedies- notably the tornado that wiped out the town of Joplin in my home state of Missouri. I don't think it would have occurred to me that I had the power to do something like that on my own before I attended NCYLS. I can't recommend this seminar highly enough to volunteers, attendees, or investors.
