Review for Childhood Mission of Uganda, Houston, TX, USA
Building schools for little ones so they can learn is a tremendous and super relevant way to help and Assisted Villages Foundation is right there in the thick of it. Monica knows the specific local needs, the specific local issues and the specific and local people. This deep knowledge means that supporting this organization will make your dollar squeezed and stretched to the utmost. Monica uses every single dollar so wisely and even shares her strength in the building process!
Review for Literacy Advance of Houston, Houston, TX, USA
All efforts, eyes and hearts are focused on the learners and that makes tutoring at Literacy Advance such a rewarding experience. It's like being on an awesome team of winners who love helping! The staff is top-notch, enthusiastic and so supportive. I've been a tutor since '05 and although much has changed, the most important things haven't: the programs are relevant to the learners and the classroom experience is exciting. I love tutoring at Literacy Advance and I'm so grateful for all the volunteers, the staff and those who so generously give their resources to the learners.
