My two months with Mayan Families were fabulous! My two friends and I worked for pre-school nutrition program. We developed Monitoring and Evaluation system for the program, measuring the kids' weights and heights. Every single kid in all pre-schools were adorable. I won't forget their smile... It was always my pleasure to meet these little kids. It was very inspirational experience not because I thought I was doing something for them, but because I thought I'd been always learning from Mayan Families. I saw the local staff sweating a lot to pick up the heavy stove. I saw the volunteer from many different places devoting themselves to build a house for their sponsor kid. I kept eveything inside of my heart for Guatemla. Every single staff in Mayan Families, including the founders, Sharon and Dwight, they tried to help us to make sure we would go back to Canada with the most precious experience with Mayan Families. I really appreciate them. I already miss Panajachel and people there... I had the best summer ever...
