Our group of 10, 4 adults and 6 teens, just returned from volunteering at Mayan Families for two weeks. We helped build stoves, painted murals and provided muscle for moving . Mayan Families' efforts in providing support to the Maya population around Lake Atitlan is significant, impressive and important. From educating the children to feeding the elderly to free medical services, Mayan Families is making a difference in the lives of a disparate population in need of a hand up. We will be returning next year to volunteer!
