Nanubhai Education Foundation
October 15, 2009
As part of my graduate program in Economic and Political Development at Columbia University, I was required to do a summer internship. I found the Nanubhai Education Foundation at an NGO Fair, and was immediately impressed by the passion and effervescence of some of the volunteers and staff. Thus, I decided to pursue an internship in India with the Foundation.
I can today say with 100% confidence that Nanubhai is doing AMAZING work for education in rural India. My firsthand experience in some of their target schools really exposed me to the lack of capable teachers in many of India's schools. The need for Nanubhai's services is real, childrens' appetite to learn is massive, and the passion and committment of Nanubhai staff is inspirational.
I hope I can remain involved and spread the word about the wonderful and critical work that Nanubhai Education Foundation is doing.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
rural education in India. Their work is desperately needed.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
passionate, dedicated and motivated.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Transform the face of rural education in India by setting up teacher training institutions so that educators could become more effective in their jobs, and children would reap the benefits.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every month
