I have recently started volunteering as a substitute in the Keller & Watauga area. I deliver meals on my lunch hour. This has been a very rewarding experience. Because my route is new each time it takes me a while longer to deliver than their regular delivery person. No matter what time I deliver they are always glad to see me, always appreciative for the meals I deliver. They often share a little story with me and always have a smile on their face. I know that for many this the only way they can continue to live independently. It insures that have healthy meals each day and I often wonder if it is the meal or the social contact they look forward to most. Often they are waiting at the door when I get out of car. I love this ministry. This is a great group to volunteer with and they are so highly organized it is amazing. Thanks so much for this opportunity to serve.
