I am the president of a non profit that provides funding to families of children afflicted with cancer. We help with travel and lodging expenses. We take in only a drop in the bucket of donations compaired to the ACS. We have had numerious families refered to us for help by the ACS. I have a hard time understanding how this orginazation can take in millions of dollars a year in donations but will not offer $1 of support to these families. Even though we are a small non profit I guess we will have to, take up the slack from the big guys.

BRAD COLEMAN CANCER FOUNDATION

This foundation has made a tremendous difference to many different families who have called upon us for help. We have funded travel and lodging expenses as they seek treatments for their child. We have eased the pain of worrying about how they were going to get the money they needed to travel and a place to stay. We have two families that are traveling to MD Anderson in Houston Texas from Tennessee. And have been told by one of them that they would not know what they would have done if it hadn't been for us. We are making a difference and will continue to do so as long as we are able. We also have developed an educational program that has been placed in 125 schools. This program stresses the importance of self exam for testicular cancer. Early detection is the key to survival. We provide these program free of charge. We are also proud of the fact that all of our Board Members, Officers and Staff Volunteer their time so all proceeds raised goes directly toward doing to foundations work.

If I had the means I would donate millions to this foundations because I know first hand from hearing all the uncertenty in the voices of the families that have contacted me for help and I know the differences we have made and know the huge impact we could make, if we just had all the funds we needed.

Top proity is to provide funding to families that need it

What is its top priority in the long run?

To raise awareness to testicular cancer nation wide. Breast cancer has been in the spotlight for many years and has saved thousands of lives through early detection and education. My hope is that one day there will be as much attention bought to testicular cancer early detection as there has been for breast cancer. This disease is 95% cereale if caught early. There is no need for someone to succumb to testicular cancer just because it was caught too late. We have to change this!!!
