Volunteer USA makes a difference-- The Teen Trendsetters Reading Mentors Program positively impacts our entire school system and community. The excitement epressed by our high school youth regarding the volunteer committment to increase reading skills of 2nd and 3rd grade children is absolutely contagious! We started with two student volunteers in July and now we have 38 volunteers. Also, one of our Reading Mentors just won the the "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" Best Idea Contest resulting in 100 "Hungry Caterpillar" books being delivered to our elementary schools. Thumbs up to you Volunteer USA!
