Throughout the years I have watched this organization develop and thrive, and I have personally met a few of the mentees. I went with a small group from GirlsWriteNow to a fundraising event in New Jersey about 2 years ago, and was really impressed by one of the mentees, a young woman named Rashri, who seems to have found her voice within the program and uses it with strength and confidence. I have gone to a number of workshops and always enjoy the enthusiasm and creativity displayed there.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
extremely dedicated, hardworking professional women, and one of the assets of this organization is that it does not just "take" from its volunteers--it nurtures them and provides then with a sense of community.
