Approx. 13 years ago I encountered a group of cats that were in very bad condition. Approx. 30. At the time I was not in good financial situation and lived in a tiny studio apt. so I couldn't possibly take them in. I started looking for help and found The Cat Network. A lady came out to assess the situation and told me what to do and how. She loaned me traps, went out there with me to show me how. She would even help me recoup the cats after surgery. She got me involved in the adoption program where I could find some of these kitties homes and so I started helping the cats. Before I knew it, I had sterilized all the kitties and found homes for most. It is a wonderful organization that enables you so you can help the stray cats in your area. Each sterilization is $25. Can't get cheaper than that!! I have remained a member since and volunteer in whatever capacity I can at any given time. It is a truly worthwhile organization that has made a huge difference for the kitties in our area.
