I have found Young Life to be an amazing organization for teens. I was involved in Young Life as a high school kid in Chicago. I have volunteered with Young Life in the Denver area for 20+ years. Year after year, I hear stories from kids whose lives have been changed from the adult leaders, summer camp experiences and weekly meetings. The adults show up at the kids' school events and develop a personal relationship with each teen. The time adults spend hanging out with the kids is lasting and meaningful. These adults go to where the kids hang out instead of expecting the kids to show up where they are. The kids realize that they have another adult in their lives that cares. I highly recommend Young Life.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
many ways. I have personally attended the summer camps which are totally amazing. Every detail is thought of and planned out to meet every kid's needs. Laughter and humor is used as a way to entertain the high school kids and break down barriers.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
all the people that are also involved in Young Life. They are people who voluntarily serve teens and others in their community with humor and a positive disposition.
