Review for Valdez Museum And Historical Archive Association Incorporated, Valdez, AK, USA
Valdez is a small town (4,500 pop) with an exceptionally large foot in the history of the West. The Museum has a modern archives in a warehouse full of historic memorabilia, as well as a downtown location that mounts special exhibits covering the Gold Rush, the 1964 earthquake that destroyed old Valdez, and the conflict and heartbreak surrounding the Exxon oil spill. The Warehouse is a do not miss for all ages.
