Youth Making a Difference

I think that this is by far one of the best programs, not only do you get to go to a 3rd world country but you get to go through the year long leadership training. I love the fact that we ourselves get to plan and execute all of what we do when we are in India. Also, the fact the when we get back we are in charge of doing our own expedition. I think that it is one of the most effective program because you not only get to go and have your life changed but we learn to love all of the children in Chamba before we even get there because of all of our work to get the money and plan the lessons.

Unification between the Youth in my community. Also, we as Youth have learned to be active in service and find joy in it.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Being able to prepare every little step for our expedition to India in March 2010. I love that we don't just pay the money and go, we actually are the ones who prepare the lessons and we see what our money is going to go towards.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very friendly, and outgoing. Not only are they sincere in their cause but they also so dedicated and physically and emotionally involved.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Change the lives of thousands of orphans in Chamba, India. They'd be able to do so much good, they could rebuild the orphanages and they could give the orphans food, better educational information and warm clothes

Ways to make it better...

We had more people who were aware of what Youth Making A Difference was. So we would have more support.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Still not being totally known in Utah County yet. Almost everyone who we have talked to love the idea of us and love what we're doing and our cause, its just that not very many people know what or who we are and what we do.

MY ROLE:
Volunteer & I help with teaching orphans in India and we build septic tanks for nearby villiges and also we play with the children and give them love besides teaching them English and health etc.
