Review for Animal Rescue and Adoption Society, Denver, CO, USA
This shelter is THE best. The cats have nearly free reign of the place, with the humans there to serve their every need. And speaking of humans, the shelter is blessed wih some of the most caring staff-- from the animal care crew to the Shelter Manager-- and oodles of volunteers who contribute countless hours socializing the cats and kittens. All of this contact with people makes RMFR/ ARAS cats ready for adoption into their "forever homes." This no-kill shelter is not exactly on the beaten path (corner of Delaware and Wesley in South Denver), but it is well worth the effort to seek it out. Not in the Denver area? Then consult the website (www.rmfr-colorado.org) for more details about supporting this wonderful organization. There are photos of all the adorable cats and kittens-- I dare you to resist them.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
working on their Board, getting to know the wonderful staff, hanging out with the cats in the amazing backyard, and adopting my cat Smidgen.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
increase their visibility so everyone can now how wonderful this shelter truly is. This non-profit relies on donations, either of cash or needed good, so please consider consulting their 'wish list' on the website. Also, stay aware of events and receive access to photos of adorable cats by friending RMFR on Facebook.
