I've experienced the results of this organization in the way that the youth respond to it. The young people who work for this nonprofit are proud of what they do, and show an expansive knowledge base of plant types, plant care, and gardening in general. The people who have stayed the longest act as mentors for the newcomers, creating an air of cooperation and healthy teamwork.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Make it more publicized. I would never know it existed had I not sought out garden volunteering. You could drive right past without a second glance, so maybe even a more compelling, bigger and clearer sign out front would help.
