GIRLS ON THE RUN OF PUGET SOUND
June 24, 2011

I had the extreme pleasure of coaching for Girls on the Run of Puget Sound this spring. We teach 3rd to 5th grade girls about self esteem, friendships, teamwork, how to stop bullying issues, and many other wonderful things to help them grow into confident and secure people.
Interspersed with our coaching, we encourage non-competitive exercises like running, walking, skipping, tag games, relays, etc. At the end of our program the girls fulfill their goal of participating in a 5K with all of the Girls on the Run girls from Schools all over the Puget Sound Area. It is an experience I will never forget to watch these girls blossom in their confidence and sense of accomplishment over the 10 weeks and to see the joy on their faces when they complete the 5K at the end of the program. It is a life changing experience for all of us involved and I encourage your support. I'll be coaching again!!!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The increase in confidence and participation of the girls in our group was amazing! The girls have forever changed my life.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Add more changes to the annual curriculum so girls can repeat the program for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade with new material to learn each year so they're not repeating the same things.

FUND FOR AUTOIMMUNE RESEARCH
June 24, 2011

As a volunteer and Board Member for Pat's Fund, our goal is to raise money through educational events, wine auctions and general awareness to fund research. It is such an important opportunity to help fund research to solve the autoimmunity puzzle as 1 in 5 people suffer from some kind of autoimmune disease. Pat's mom Judi and her husband Dick have worked tirelessly to bring awareness to autoimmune disease and we hope you will support Pat's Fund to help us find cures.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
