My favorite experience is when I get one of those kids who is passionate about nature and wildlife, much the same as I was in my early days. If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Try to find a regular supply of cash to help with the running costs. Currently everything is cut to the bone and the staff at the nature center do a fantastic job with what is available to them. So much more could be achieved, with just a little cash on a regular basis, to preserve this jewel of Houston. A very special place.

Yes, I have learned so much during my 5 years as a regular volunteer and also get the opportunity to handle the reptiles as part of demonstrations.
