My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for KEEPERS OF THE WILD, Valentine, AZ, USA
Keepers of the Wild is an outstanding organization that is truly dedicated to helping animals in need, as they have demonstrated with their infinite animal rescues. I started volunteering at this wonderful exotic animal sanctuary when I was a teenager back in 2003. Currently I am a living my dream career working with exotic animals and marine mammals while promoting environmental conservation and education, and I owe credit to Keepers of the Wild for allowing me the great opportunity to learn from them and gain invaluable experience helping care for their numerous rescued animals. Keepers has an amazing volunteer program that will offer you extensive experience while you give back to the community. As any true non-profit, they rely on generous donations and I can assure that this is absolutely a legitimate organization worthy of support!

Keepers of the Wild taught me more than simply how to provide the best quaity animal care for the species housed at their facility. They had a life-lasting impact on me that fueled my passion for working with wild animals and teaching people about them. These animals are ambassadors for their wild counter parts and are invaluable in making people aware about the horrific exotic pet industry and educating the public about wildlife conservation in general.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
My volunteer experience here made me sore, dirty and exhausted due to the hard work invloved in caring for hundreds of exotic animals; but all of that was well worth it, because most importantly, the experience made me feel proud, honored and like I was truly giving back to something great, both by caring directly for their amazing animals in need, and by educating the public on tours about the threats to these species.
