I've worked in the sector for 17 years as everything from well driller to operations director to communications director. I got to personally see The Water Project's work in Kenya and it was the most transformative work I've ever seen. It was everything everyone in the water sector says they are in terms of improving economy, agriculture, hygiene, environment, livestock, etc. few water projects really do impact all these areas but this TWP work was.
Our family traveled to see this work in action after donating for many years. Seeing communities come together and share ownership of these life-giving water sources is evidence of how well The Water Project partners with local leaders and villagers to bring about real change.
I have collaborated with The Water Project for over 15 years and have seen them grow and develop into an excellent humanitarian organization.
Especially in Kenya, their water projects have immense significance and have helped tens of thousands of people achieve a completely transformed life. They take action where it is needed the most and for the most vulnerable individuals.

We have collaborated with The Water Project (TWP) for several years. TWP has been a great source of inspiration for us and we have supported 12-15 projects. I have visited their headquarters and met some of the leaders of the organization. Very serious, goal-oriented people with a sincere heart to help people in need. We always get good feedback from TWP. The Water Promise shows that TWP does not just do a water project and then leaves a village to its own when problems arise. TWP undertakes to maintain a water point for at least five years. We will continue to support TWP. I really can recommend TWP. Lennart Pedersen, Chairman, and Co-founder of Scandinavians for life.
I have been connected to The Water Project in one way or another since its beginning. I served on the Board of Directors and was a member of the staff. And I am proud to say that! The Water Project goes to extremes to make sure there is complete transparency regarding work completed, actual results, and the costs to do it all. The highest concern of the organization and everyone involved is helping those in need. Every day. With all that they have. I am thrilled to still be connected to much of the staff, and a supporter of their work.
I’m the current Chair for the Board of Directors of The Water Project and I have had the honor to visit on a few occasions the work in Africa this organization is doing for those needlessly suffering from a lack of clean water and proper sanitation. The level of expertise and precision by which this organization secures funding, formulates in field execution and maximizes every single dollar generated for ultimate returns on investment is both impressive and inspiring to those of us that have the privilege to see what really goes on behind the scenes and on the frontlines. The ongoing accomplishments and future plans of the organization are only reviled by the overwhelming and sincere gratitude expressed by those people and communities impacted by the work it’s doing in Africa. Together we are truly changing the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and allowing them to thrive in an otherwise very difficult environment to live one’s life. Our work will afford generations to come with life giving clean water and all the unimaginable benefits that basic human right enables. Thanks to everyone who has in the past, continues today and will someday soon in the future support The Water Project with your generosity.
The Water Project is an organization I have been in relationship with for years, first as a donor through our church and currently as a Board Member as of 7/21. I give this organization the highest rating from my experience in both of these spaces. I have had the privilege of traveling to Kenya twice with teams from our church to meet the Kenyan staff and see first hand the vision, mission, work and impact The Water Project is having in partnership with the incredible local leaders that are leading this work in their communities. My church and my family continue in friendship with these amazing Kenyan leaders as we continue to support the work they are doing to provide clean water to their communities and the community development that continues to grow and flourish when clean water is available. It's an honor to be in relationship with this organization as a continuing donor and now as a Board Member to support the vision for providing clean water and sanitation and for maintaining those projects so that the water keeps flowing. I highly recommend your support of this wonderful organization.
I have been involved with the Water Project for 4 years. They are doing great work, putting in place new water and sanitation supplies and maintaining supplies for over 500,000 people in Africa. They work in areas where safe water is not available, where people have to walk long distances for water that is not safe. They protect springs, put in Sand Dams, put in Wells, and set up rain water catchment systems at schools. They provide a high level of transparency and if you donate, you will be assigned a project. They will update you as your project unfolds. I have been impressed with their progress during the Pandemic and have increased my contributions annually.
Please join me in giving generously to The Water Project and sponsoring the important work of bringing clean, reliable water and sanitation to those in need. See the website at TheWaterProject.org
I have worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years. This is the only board I have every agreed to join because of my passion for water, the confidence I have in the organization's leadership, and the way I see core values driving every decision.
The Water Project's commitment to radical transparency is unparalleled. Donors get to see where their money goes and precisely what it does.
Many organizations talk about their donors as partners, but at The Water Project, that belief is woven into the fabric of the organization. That's one of the many reasons I am proud to serve at The Water Project, and why it will continue to be a top giving priority for my family.
I have been involved with The Water Project for over 10 years, first as a donor, then as a board member. The experience at every level is far and away exceeds what I have seen at any other non-profits in terms of the combination of high ethics, excellence in the way everything is done and in transparency.
As a donor, the experience of giving and tracking my donations is straightforward and personal. As a board member, I have been impressed year after year by the consistency of the organization's shared vision among staff and partners in the U.S. and in Africa. Commitments ae consistently kept and accountability is always clear. I am fortunate to be associated with The Water Project
