I came to live in Philadelphia in 2001. Taller Puertorriqueño provided a cultural gate to the arts in Philadelphia for me. I came to meet people, to attend special events and to celebrate the Latino heritage with my new community. New immigrants, like myself, need to develop connections and start new friendships quickly. Taller Puertorriqueño was and continues to be the place to enjoy, to learn, to volunteer and to share dreams.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

providing Spanish language programs and events.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

develop a stronger marketing departament.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the ongoing workshops and the Summer Programs on Friday night.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly, respectful and outgoing. They have a passion for their work.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

create a cultural center to home our rich cultural heritage.

Ways to make it better...

I have more time to participate in workshops and activities at Taller.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Seeking funding opportunities and developing a successful fundraising campaign.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Taller is vibrant cultural center at the heart of our community. It represents our heritage and our experience of inculturation in this country.
