I've always believed that the best, most effective charities and ministries are those that work person to person, building strong relationships. Jorge and Rosie really embody the Biblical principle of feeding people both physically and spiritually. Their hearts are in this work and you could not find any better local ministry to support.
Before the holiday my checking account got hacked/compromised, my entire savings was wiped out/stolen. It totally triggered my depression. I was stressed, distraught & on deep depression. I was worried how since I’m a single mom & Christmas is the most important/special holiday to us, I’m Filipino. Since I was raised by a strong single mom too, my mom taught me to never ever give up in life, always pray, believe in my faith in God & stay strong always find a way for my children. On 12/03/2023 I was browsing online looking for help & God answered my prayers I found & emailed Jorge-Rosie Gomez (Spread the Love of Jesus Ministry) told my situation. The same day Ms. Rosie replied on me & from that day forward they’d been blessing me & made changed some part of my life. Ms. Rosie gave is one that I totally considered as one of my guardian angels. She has a kind & purest heart. When I needed help for food she makes sure me & my kids would not gonna be hungry. I am WAY BEYOND THANKFUL & GRATEFUL “God Is Good”
Me & my kids also would like to thank our secret Santa/s whom adopted us on the holiday “THANK YOU SO MUCH
I have heard Jorges testimonial and heard of Rosies praying and God is truely with them and their ministry. I know they are doing Gods work and spreading Gods love. I wish I could physically help the ministry. I want so much to be a part of what they are doing for God. Thank you so much God for this ministry and thank you Jorge and Rosie.
this is a ministry which cares about the person, It serves to reach the poor, the homeless, the addicted, those who have little often nothing. This ministry does not judge, it loves. This ministry seeks to bring hope. This ministry seeks to touch the untouchable who, for many reasons, are unable to reach out of their depths and for whom the only hand reaching out to them is that of the compassionate who desire to express the love of Jesus through food, clothing, counsel and a willingness to stretch their own lives and time to come beside those who desire to rise above their circumstances. I am blessed to know and assist them.
I truly enjoy and am honored to serve our community with this ministry. A story I can share is one from last year when we were delivering food boxes for Thanksgiving. We were delivering to what we thought was the correct address, but little did we know this family was also in need of help with food for the holiday. So...we said you need food? They said yes. So the box was given to them. We took an extra box along with us just incase and we were so thankful we did. The family was overwhelmed with joy and thanked us over and over again with tears in their eyes. The feeling you get when you know you are doing God's work is absolutely amazing, and knowing I am being allowed to do this along side Spreading the Love of Jesus Ministry is an honor.
I got to say, I've followed this family on social media for awhile. I joined them one day in one of their food distributions. It was such a blessing feeding the less fortunate. I was blessed beyond believe. I thought I was going to bless people but I was prayed for myself. It was an experience I'll never forget. I can't hardly walk so I can't join them. I do enjoy reading their post and looking at their pictures. Wonderful, wonderful people.
Matthew 25:35
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in....
They live that very verse.. they don't just preach the gospel but live the gospel. They go out into the streets and disciple men and women. They love on them and embrace them. Its's truly admirable. It's not common and you don't see this type of love anymore in churches unfortunately. I see God moving in their lives. I have volunteered in their organization before but moved out of state. If there were more organizations and churches operating like Spreading the Love of Jesus Ministry, the world would be a better place in deed.
I had a great experience with Jesus and them they pray for me and they help me when i need them. Greatest. World they told me that i need it to hear thank you keep spreading the world of Jesus!
Awesome ministry I gone out with them to meet needs of the less fortunate. We would feed and pray with them. I also seen them try to get them housing and jobs anything to get them off the streets and bring them closer to Jesus. This ministry really really loves on people.
This family gives of their time and resources tirelessly. They are loving and kind and have raised their children to be the same. Their days and weeks revolve around giving to others after they have both worked full time during the week and spent quality time with their children. Those of us that truly know them, watch in awe everyday as they exemplify what it means to do the work of the Lord. What started with a couple doing a little each week to help anyone they could, has evolved into a group of family and friends helping thousands of people each and every year. Their love for the Lord and others is limitless.
Jorge, Rosie & their children have been a huge blessing to our family, in the most deepest darkest moments of our lives the Gomez family has been there, praying, encouraging & loving. They are a family who genuinely Loves people & seeks to help those in need, we have see how God uses their life to bless so many people, with food distribution to the families who are barely making it, assisting the homeless community in any way they can whether it's food , clothing, grooming, shelter, sooo much, Through their Love & care this family truly resembles what God asks of us, Love your neighbor, no matter who it is. They truly live by their ministry name, Spreading the Love of Jesus❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jorge and Rosie are two of the brightest lights in the Lord's starry sky! With sincerely, deep, purposeful love in their hearts they brave rain, cold, the beating sun and the dangers of entering some of our area's most violent areas. All of this for the opportunity to fill the belly's of the displaced, distribute hygiene kits, and most importantly to guide lost souls to salvation through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What a wonderful organization, lead by two amazing angels.
It is so much easier for me to look inward and focus my attention on the immediacy of my needs and those of my family. It's definitely easy to overlook the hurt and pain that surrounds us. Having been able to serve in this ministry last year, I can personally speak to the amazing work God is doing through the Gomez family and how He speaks to us when we serve others. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to serve! It has been a major catalyst in the growth of my own faith!
As a Christian, I know that I am called to love God and love my neighbors as myself. For me, the former has always been easier than the latter. I love my family. I love my friends. No problem. But my neighbors? Strangers? And "the least of these"? Forget about it. I was way too selfish for anything like that...until I befriended servants like Jorge and Rosie Gomez, the founders of this ministry. They just don't preach the word of God and love of Jesus . With every breath, they strive to live it, and that was -- and remains -- astonishing to me. Now, one could say that all they're really doing is being faithful Christians; that is true...and a sad commentary on my own faith. My heart needs work. One way I've done that is by volunteering with this ministry. It only takes seconds to witness the connection Jorge and Rosie have established with the homeless in the East Bay (and beyond). But, honestly, all the food, the clothes, the toiletries, the camping supplies, etc., I don't think it would mean nearly as much without the accompanying hugs, words of encouragement and prayer; I've seen it firsthand on the faces of the lives they've touched and heard it in their breaking voices. There are words of rejoice, affection and sometimes grief, as life on the street is so incredibly hard. I also know that their ministry is a 24/7 operation; I've witnessed it personally. They will collect donations for families in need. They will make food runs in the middle of the night. They will even offer shelter in their own home, despite having two teenagers and one massive (and friendly) dog filling the house. Is this ministry deserving of your time, support and prayers? The answer is an unequivocal yes. Their love, the love of Jesus, drives this ministry. It has helped me to change my heart, and it can do the same for you.
I have volunteered with Jorge and Rosie for the last two and half years. I have driven to the worst parts of town with Jorge stopping along the way to hand out food and a couple of dollars to any one in need. I have gone to homeless camps with Jorge and Rosie providing food and compassion to people who live "outside". I have seen Jorge bring people directly from camps to treatment centers and shelters. The Gomez family truly walks the Christian way and shows great compassion and love for others less fortunate than us. I look forward to our outreach missions right here in San Francisco and the East Bay. I have learned to be more compassionate to homeless people, to get to know their names and to think of them when the weather turns cold and rainy. Jorge and Rosie have helped me develop this deeper appreciation for people in need.
My husband and I first started out as clients of this ministry. They would come weekly to our home and bring us lots of food, minister to us, and pray with us. They still minister to my husband. We have volunteered with them a couple of times and have been donors. They have SO much love for the homeless and for people less fortunate. May God bless them and may bless their ministry.
