Make A Difference
I am currently associated with MAD as a volunteer.I liked it a lot.Actually i am very much interested in teaching those small little childrens who are deprived of their rights of getting proper education or not having the way of getting it.I liked the concept of MAD a lot as they are providing an oppourtunity for these childrens to grow up & giving them an oppurtunity of becoming a stats of INDIA.I have taken many classes and taught some students, most of them are really very talented. And a lot more experience is yet to come & i know that will also be GREAT.

I have volunteered with MAD for a month, and more than anything else, it was fun sprinkled with oodles of satisfaction. Attending MAD's tuition sessions were optional for the students. But this bunch looked forward to their activities like it was playtime. The volunteers managed to teach the kids and engaged them in interactive sessions like games and songs. MAD has given these students a room for ambition at the right stage in their lives. Their volunteers know how to deal with each child and tackle their problems with ease. The children don't look up to them as teachers, but as family. I'm glad I was a part of the organisation, though for a short period.

I have been working with MAD (Make A Difference) for around six months now..every weekend we go to an orphanage / slum school and interact with the little curious angels there. In all association has taught me that I am not what I am because I am intelligent..I am ME because I was blessed with right education and opportunities..we need to extend the same education and opportunities to the needy kids..so that they become better than ME..Thanks MAD

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
they all are college going youngsters or young professionals...
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very young, bright, enthusiastic and determined to make this world a better place to live..
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
be the largest voluntary organization spreading quality education through thoroughly trained volunteers..
Ways to make it better...
we get chance to reach more and more kids who need education..
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Support from Society..both financial and social..
One thing I'd also say is that...
They really spend money, energy and time on recruiting and training each volunteer!

"Full many a gem of purest ray serene The dark unfathom'd caves of ocean bear: Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, And waste its sweetness on the desert air. Some village-Hampden, that with dauntless breast The little tyrant of his fields withstood, Some mute inglorious Milton here may rest, Some Cromwell, guiltless of his country's blood.", lamented Thomas Gray in his poem 'Elegy Written in A Country Churchyard'. True, lack of opportunities and exposure often nip ones talent in the bud which account for the birth of MAD. As the name suggests, 'Make A Difference'(MAD) is yet another NGO in the country which works for the same generic and rhetoric cause - 'child education'. But what makes MAD stand out from other thousands of its clones are its 'different strategies, idealistics and above all, the passion to bring about the difference 'effectively'.

I was just having a casual chat with one of the hiring volunteers from mad and I was truly amazed at their hiring criteria for MAD teachers. It was not enough if you were an expert in a field, you had to be kind and understanding with a high score in patience.. I'm inspired by MAD! I am sure MAD is making a Difference indeed!

i had a chance to attend the training conducted by MAD team in Chennai. The trainer was Mr. Jithin. It was an eye opening session for me and that was the day i started partnering with MAD and since then there was no looking back.MAD has a very structured way of monitoring the growth of the children to whom we teach. More than anything all the people here have the right attitute towards life and fellow human beings. Am proud to be associated with MAD projects.

being a part of MAD is a pleasnt heavenly experience in itself.i came To know about MAD from few of my seniors in college.we had this huge recruitment ceremony where we were judged on our talents to cope with people n our dedication towards helping others.it was a fun experience.then we were alloted our respective centres.i got the observation house in nanapet which is all girls observation house.all the girls there are under judicial coustody.as i m alloted to teach grade 2 students it requires a lot of patience on my part to deal with them.i go for classes once a week n that hour of the day becomes the best memorable hour.the cutness of those little kids sways my heart away.the most funninest thing is they begin the class with all vigour n enthusiasm but after half n hour they losse all interest n spaceout.so it becomes our sole duty to keep there concentraion intact by incorporating diffrent types of games which can keep them joyful and in the meanwhile can provide them with some basic knowledge.overall the experience of being a MAD volunteer is itself MAD
