Mission: The YWCA mission is to create opportunities for women and girls to lead purposeful lives and to strive for a community that values diversity.
Programs: Among the YWCA's many programs and services are: Literacy programs that include adult basic literacy and English as a Second Language classes; a Technology Center that teaches basic and advanced computer classes in a small personalized lab setting and also provides a TechGYRLS program to teach robotics to middle school girls; a preschool program that prepares young children to enter kindergarten, before and after school programs serving the Greater Latrobe School District, and a summer day care program for elementary children and middle school aged girls; support groups that include an International Women's Group for foreign-born women; a Racial Justice program that includes Racial Justice Study Circles; Health and Wellness programs including yoga, tai chi, cooking classes, dance; a Thrift Shop and clothing program that serves PA WORKWEAR clients who need clothing for job training and placement programs in Westmoreland County.  It is also a source of income to support the mission of the YWCA.

Wonderful organization providing services to women. Great place for women of all ages to get involved. Preschool, English as a Second Language, Literacy Tutoring, Health and Wellness Programs, Computer Classes, Clothing for the Working Woman, Racial Justice Programs and an International Women's Program.
