The ywca of westmoreland county creates opportunities for women and girls to lead purposeful lives and strives for a community that values diversity.


The ywca office programs in technology, literacy and child care. The ywca offers over 25 different computer classes to help women prepare for the workforce or to improve their work-related skills. The ywca also sponsors a techgirls programs that allows girls to learn about robotics and encourage them to pursue stem careers. The ywca literacy program helps non-reading adults to learn reading skills and provides classes in esl to speakers of other languages besides english. These programs give adults and their families skills they need in order to be effective in their roles as members of their families, communities and workplaces. The ywca provides early childhood education and childcare through a fun, safe and supportive environment that emphasizes school readiness.

Wonderful organization providing services to women. Great place for women of all ages to get involved. Preschool, English as a Second Language, Literacy Tutoring, Health and Wellness Programs, Computer Classes, Clothing for the Working Woman, Racial Justice Programs and an International Women's Program.
