Workshops include the plant, animal and bird life of the region, and are designed for various ages from children to adults, including a family camp, where families increase their knowledge of the landscape around mccarthy and boost their wilderness survival skills.
the organization sponsors a scholarship fund with an endowment from its members. Scholarships are awarded to deserving students of the organization's programs. A formal selection process has been established whereby a committee chooses scholarship recipients each spring.
