Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Foundation, Inc.
Mission:
The Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center (WWRC)was established in 1947 as the first state operated comprehensive rehabilitation center in the U.S.; eight centers in other states were modeled after WWRC. WWRC serves approximately 2,600 people with disabilities each year, 99% of whom live in Virginia. WWRC earns revenues from a number of sources. These revenues are not adequate to ensure that WWRC stays at the leading edge of medical and vocational rehabilitation. The WWRC Foundation fills these gaps by raising funds to support program activities at WWRC and to purchase needed equipment. The Foundation seeks to become a reliable, consistent source of support to WWRC.
