Mission: Women for sobriety, inc. Has been providing services to women alcoholics since 1975. The organization provides a self-help program which includes the establishment of self-help groups and the distribution of literature.
Programs: Outreach to women alcoholics through free literature and self help groups. Women for sobriety, inc. (wfs) provides an opportunity for women to contact the wfs office and request a free introductory packet on our recovery program. The general public, as well as women seeking help, can access, at no charge, wfs's website to learn about the organization and program services. Wfs also offers face-to-face meetings in various locations and online chat meetings and message boards for additional support while working the program. Over 120,000 people utilized wfs resources in 2014.
conferences and seminars for the benefit of women alcoholics and health care professionals. Wfs hosts an annual weekend conference that offers workshops and meetings to help educate and support women who want to learn how to live a sober new life. Approximately 110 women attended the conference in 2014. Volunteers in wfs also offer presentations (and literature at no charge) in various locations throughout the year to health care professionals, the general public, and to women with addictions who want to learn more about our recovery program.
