The program is a grass roots effort helping the needs of our local teens.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing the teens progress through the program enough to live independently into early adulthood.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make it larger to help more teens in need.

there is an emergency shelter for youth 16-21 and a new transitional housing program for pregnant and parenting teens. the emergency shelter has had incredible success at getting teens back on track; it has become a model program for other shelters in new york state. the associated after care program also has been very successful at helping these kids beome independent.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

we get testimonials of kids having gone through the program thanking the dedicated staff for helping them turn around

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make it bigger so we could help more kids

I have been a witness to this organization from the beginning. It has THE most caring people running the house. Since its inception, it has been a positive asset to the community. I cannot believe how many young people it has helped so far. It is well run, and well staffed with people who really care about the people they serve!

I found WAIT House at a time in my life when I really needed help. They were there to help my son and I get away from a bad situation and get me back on my feet. I have no idea what I would have done had I not found the wonderful people at WAIT house. THey were able to help me with shelter, food, in court, getting an apartment set up and countless other things. I always felt safe and listened too and that sometimes is the best medicine. There should be more places like WAIT house across the country for teens to get help. I was the first mother with child in the WAIT house and I feel honored to be in that position. I talk about how the WAIT house helped me to everyone in the new state (Georgia) I moved to shortly after leaving the WAIT house. Without the WAIT house there is no telling where my life would have ended up. They are God's angels on earth at the WAIT house!!!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Being helped with shelter, food, transportation, in court and countless other areas. They were even there after I left the house as a support to me.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I honestly can't think of any changes I would make
