Target demographics: International. We need to unite people together in this global issue. In six weeks' time, police chases and police response calls kill 30 innocent bystanders and 1 (one) officer in the United States.

Direct beneficiaries per year: More than 200 law-abiding families each year are impacted by police chases. No family is turned away.
We provide 24/7 assistance to victims & families.

Through The Safer Way Award, we provide officer driver training.

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Computer work involving a database to help us track injuries and fatalities as a result of police chases and police response calls. The lack of mandatory reporting hapers our government's ability to track the actual number of deaths. Voluntary data shows that on average, five innocent bystanders are killed every week.

Programs: We help by
• Providing 24/7 assistance to victims & families
• Giving educational seminars and presentations
• Participating in law enforcement conferences
• Promoting PursuitSAFETY’s Safer Way Award
• Sponsoring blood drives in memory of victims

Mission:
Voices Insisting on PursuitSAFETY is committed to:
1. Working for safer vehicular police pursuits (police chases and police response calls) to prevent unnecessary deaths of and injuries to innocent bystanders and police officers.
2. Helping injured victims and bereaved families who are impacted by the violent crashes caused by police chases and police response calls.
Results:
We help by
• Providing 24/7 assistance to victims & families
• Giving educational seminars and presentations
• Participating in law enforcement conferences
• Promoting PursuitSAFETY’s Safer Way Award
• Sponsoring blood drives in memory of victims

Funds are needed to help families and to provide for the officer training day. Officers need driver training and with budget cuts, PursuiitSAFETY wants to help finance a training day with EVOC instructors.

My 17 year old son Christopher was killed on November 8, 2007 during a police chase that was extremely violent and out of control. In the weeks following, I felt lost and alone with nowhere to turn. One day while researching police chases, I came upon a website called Pursuit Watch that was filled ... more »

My son Brian was killed a year and a half ago by a police officer traveling over 90 miles an hour in a 30mph speed zone for a traffic stop. It makes no sense and I can't sleep a lot and spend days in bed crying about it. On one of my sleepless nights I wrote about my experience on the Pursuit ... more »
