Programs: Boxing club & boxing club nutrition: a program for 9-17 year old children to learn the techniques of boxing, and to attend boxing matches with other clubs in the surrounding areas. 360 children participated.
food bank & thrift store: offers food assistance to individuals and families. Household items and clothing are available at a reduced rate. Children's clothes are free. 21,242 individuals served.
title ivb-family support mentoring program: provides family support and preservation designed for children ages 9-14 and their parents. Program includes mentoring, tutoring, health education, parent counseling and an after school latch-key service. Also provides case management assistance and advice for the public at large for issues such as welfare, social security, wic, medical and mental health, translations, domestic violence, etc. 2,400 clients served.
proud to be me funded by sapta: targeted for youth in middle school and high school. This youth empowerment program incorporates alcohol, drug, and violence prevention, building self-esteem and positive peer relationships. 215 clients served.
