Reviews for Usa Track & Field Inc
We have repeatedly voted to have the organization's books audited. We adopted term limits on the Treasurer, who tried to ignore them. When we insisted that someone else serve as Treasurer after 6 years, she let her friend be elected to that office and promptly resign allowing the old Treasurer to continue maintaining the books for that 2 year term. Written demands to inspect the books under DC law have been ignored. She refuses to give written treasurer's reports at meetings and when pressed says she left the data in her other car. Organization refuses to make finances or tax returns available to members.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Conduct a full financial audit
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
dishonest and trying to subvert the group to serve the interest of the Glen Arden Track Club
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Ways to make it better...
the organization tries to meet the needs of all of its members.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
One thing I'd also say is that...
if the organization implemented a mail balloting for elections, it would be far more democratic. Voter supression, inadequate notice of meetings, autocratic style in conducting meetings detract from its stated mission.
