Dedicated to helping individuals, especially families with children, to become more independent, UNC is constantly helping families through crises and helping to guide children and young people to be successful in school & life. For example, the program for transitional housing for kids aging out of foster care provides these young people with housing and services to help them become responsible, independent adults. As a result of tutroing, mentoring and general encouragement, a number of these young people are now enrolled in post-high school programs such as college and technical training so that they can live on their own and be productive members of society.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing both youth and adults get jobs through improved skills.

What specific problem, purpose, priority, or project prompted your gift?

I like knowing that the money I give goes directly to people in my community and that UNC is a good steward of my donations.

Why did you make your donation at this time?

i was asked to give in the spring appeal and I saw articles in the newspapers showing a need for funds, especially recently for their summer camp program for inner city kids.

If you care about making our community a better, healthier place and supporting local families in their moments of need, you can't find a better agency!
