This organization is NOT AN ACTIVE NON-PROFIT. It has been dissolved by the COLORADO SEC OF STATE. It has not filed the IRS required documents for over three years. IT IS NOT AN ACTIVE organization. But it continue to promote itself as a valid organization which it is not. Go to the Colorado
Sec of State office and you will find it has been closed.

The Two Spirit Society of Denver is like no other organization. They are on the cutting edge of providing strength, support and education for the greater community in the region. They serve as a role model for other two spirit organizations around the country and support efforts to reclaim the rightful place of two spirits in the native and community at large. They are my family away from home and provide a safe space to learn and grow in my knowledge. Without this family group many would be lost in the city without a place to call home.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have seen this organization save many from the streets and alchol and HIV. The elders give us the honor of their blessings to continue our work.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I have and wouldn't change the direction spirit takes us.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

How we have adapted our mission and expanded outreach to the youth and women of our communities.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Willing to assist with whatever needed to be done. They never asked members to do anything they themselves wouldn't do. They are fantastic

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Travel and support the youth in rural areas. There are many times that travel is a barrier because of finances. Make connections internationally with our brothers and sisters.

Ways to make it better...

We could travel far and wide with this message.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The fluidity of the memberships traveling to and from the city. The resources to provide cutting edge programs.

One thing I'd also say is that...

The work this organization does is for all the people who have blazed the way for us, those who are doing the work now and those yet unborn. It will continue long after we are gone.

I have found the two spirit Society of Denver to be a great organization. It provides support and education for a group of people who are often overlooked and underserved. The members and staff of this organization are all voluntary. No one is paid. They do all this work out of a sense of love and devotion to their people. They have traveled all over this country doing a great work for social justice. They provid a sense of family to all their members. I could never say thank you enough for all they have done for me and my community

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my community at the powwows.Elders acknowledge us and thank us for being there.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

do just as they are doing

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the sense of family and belonging. Knowing we are making a difference in the world.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Kind and very knowledgable about two spirit history and traditions

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Go to all the tribes and urban Indian centers and educate people about two spirit people and acceptance

Ways to make it better...

They had their own building, meeting space

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Not enough money to do all the work that needs to be done

One thing I'd also say is that...

the difference they make will benifit the next generation
