In 2007, I participated in writing the strategic business plan for the schools being built in Botswana. Since then, I’ve remained close to the project and admire all of the work being done by Think Tank Thuto. I truly believe this organization will be a key player in Botswana’s Vision 2016 campaign.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

several capacities, most notably, my visit to Botswana in 2007. By seeing the children and communities that are being directly affected by the work of Think Tank Thuto, I know that this organization was going to make a great impact in that country.

Think Tank Thuto to me has not only been an inspiration but an opportunity to dare to dream that one day, children from all social backgrounds in Africa will have a chance not only to have an education but the best education in the world. I had the chance to work with Think Tank Thuto as a Task Force coordinator since 2007 to late 2009, i worked very closely with Annelise Bester who is the Cofounder and CEO and I also worked very closely with Bishop Trevor Mwamba also a co-founder, and mainly worked with the very dedicated Botswana Task Force consisting of experts in various fields who volunteer their time and expertize to brainstorm on the possiblities of making this vision a reality. Our tasks entailed raising awareness to this very noble cause and answering to very important questions of what kind of education would have a sustainable and significant impact on the future generations of Africa.Think Tank Thuto envisages to offer an education that taps into the potential talents of every single child, It is with this mind that it has focused on empowering and raising awareness of this vision through highlighting the local artistic talents of Botswana children and Botswana photographers and poets. The artistic focus which started with Visual arts camps that were offered to children in Francistown, where they learnt abt digital art and made small movies, continued with a photography project in which children from different regions and schools in Botswana received cameras to take pictures about whatever they wished. this resulted in beautiful and original photography. Think Tank Thuto continues to create a platform for the development and enrichment of knowledge in arts. I feel indeed very blessed to be part of this grand project

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how considerate and conscious they are on the impact of each decision taken or planned. sustainability is on the top of their menu and they place great emphasis on the need to be responsible about the envirronment and the community at large

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I met exceptional individuals, who have great ideas and willingness to volunteer their time and knowledge in order to realise a common goal.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

realise all the plans in half the time. the schools will be running sooner and the charity could start spreading its wings further into the rest of Africa.

I was fortunate enough to be referred to Think Tank Thuto. This organization wants education and the arts to come together in Botswana, Africa. Schools will be built to educate orphans who have lost their parents do to AIDs. Because global information relies on the internet and Thuto needs good design to get it's message out there. I am a photographer and multimedia specialist. I am one of a great team that will be able to use my technical skills to produce great design and images so that a learning environment may be put in place. I am currently working with Annelize Bester, who is the founder of Thuto, to put together marketing materials for the Charity. With good design and images these materials will quickly get a serious message about Thuto and what it wants to convey to the world about Education, Africa, Children, and Aids. I am grateful that I am able to use my education and creativity with them to help their cause.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that my skills are needed, appreciated, and helpful for children in Africa

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

organized, skilled, and know what they are doing and talking about

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

not only help orphaned children become educated, but build a generation of entrepreneurs that are community oriented.
