Mission: Mission: "To provoke a young generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and to take his life-giving message to the ends of the Earth". Teen Mania Ministries is one of the largest Christian youth organizations in America, reaching millions of young people and touching lives worldwide. Teen Mania reaches out to this generation, aspiring to cultivate future leaders that have Christian values, godly character that lead lives of integrity who will change the culture and the world through education, business, politics, missions, and entertainment. Teen Mania reaches the youth of today through eight very unique departments: Acquire the Fire, Global Expeditions, the Honor Academy, Center for Creative Media, the School of Worship, Extreme Camps, the Furnace and Center for Information Technology. Teen Mania is not affiliated with a specific denomination; the organization works with local churches of various denominations as a para-church organization, while providing its programs and other resources for youth, parents and church leaders. As you prayerfully consider partnering with Teen Mania, thank you in advance for your willingness to make a difference in the lives of our future decision makers, work force, families, and leaders...the generation of today. We pray you will stand with us through prayer, action, and financial sponsorship. Together we are making an eternal difference.
Results: Ministry Summary Over the Years Teen Mania has grown and expanded in ways that are incomprehensible and still hard to believe even now. But we at Teen Mania Ministries know and acknowledge that the success and impact of this ministry are all a reality because of our God, “who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us…” Ephesians 3:20. And this is why we look back on these past 25 years with deep, overwhelming gratitude and look to the future with child-like wonder; we cannot wait to see what God will do next through this ministry. Results: • Total Acquire the Fire attendees since the first event: over 2.7 million and an estimated 1,170,000 salvations. • Total Global Expeditions missionaries since the founding: over 67,783 • Total Honor Academy interns: over 5,000
Geographic areas served: North America, South America, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, all around the world!
Programs: Acquire the Fire is a youth event held in stadiums within major cities throughout the US. These events are high-voltage, high-adrenaline gatherings where teens from across the United States and Canada are motivated and mobilized to take a stand for Christ in their own lives and communities. Acquire the Fire believes that today’s youth are our future and that we must reach them for Christ now. Over 3,000,000 teenagers and young adults have been reached through these life-changing weekend events. Global Expeditions is one of the largest short-term mission's agencies in the world. To date, 68,011 teens have traveled with Global Expeditions to some 79 countries in one-, two-, and four-week missions trips. 1,306,772 people have been brought to Christ as a result of their efforts. While in-country, teenagers provide love and care through building homes, hosting vacation Bible school, providing clean drinking water, clothing, school supplies, as well as various social issues like; working with ex-child soldiers and working with those previously rescued from sex slave trade, along with leading medical and dental relief trips. The Honor Academy's mission is to build leaders of the next generation whose lives are defined by the pursuit of wisdom, vision, and discipline. The scope of the Honor Academy is extensive and includes classroom instruction, practical hands-on experience, and life-transforming events, all of which are designed to build strong character and leadership skills. Since its inception, the Honor Academy has influenced over 6,543 passionate young people who are challenging the boundaries of the world around them, both domestically and internationally through ministry, business, missions, politics and education. The Honor Academy has also recently established college partnerships that provide accreditation for the course work completed throughout the internship. The Center for Creative Media’s purpose is to train young people to be salt and light as future executives in the media industry. They do this through creating and producing broadcast TV events, live events, DVDs, curriculum, and music videos, all with the purpose of reaching their generation. The School of Worship began as a second-year program for Honor Academy graduates and has since blossomed into one of the largest programs on campus. Through specific skills classes and intensive discipleship, the School of Worship empowers young musicians in their technical skills and grows their spiritual leadership so they can use their music for the glory of God. Through Extreme Camps, Teen Mania offers a week-long camp that is designed to help youth groups genuinely discover God and live an extreme life for Him. Through the influence of dynamic praise and worship, today's hottest Christian bands, adrenaline-pumping activities, power-packed speakers, and the opportunity to build Godly relationships, Extreme Camps is being used as a catalyst to see the youth of this generation discover what Christianity is all about. The Fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. ~ Leviticus 6:12. The Furnace is a 4 month prayer internship designed to cultivate a burning heart for Christ, a lifestyle of Godliness, and a vision to reach the world. Interns in the Furnace program explore the depths of Knowing God through prayer; cultivate their Passion for Jesus through dynamic teaching and saturate a life in Godliness through an atmosphere of discipleship. The interns learn about the Pursuit of God, existence and attributes of God, character development, the Spirit of worship, breakthrough prayer, the history of missions, fasting and prayer experiences, complete a global justice project and learn about the unreached people groups. The Center for Information Technology is for individuals who are called to the technology field and want to use their ability to further the Kingdom of God. This two-year internship offers interns with expert training, certifications, and work experience required for a professional career as a Software Developer or a System Administrator. With a 1 to 5 instructor to intern ratio, the CIT far exceeds the amount of academic attention a student would receive at a typical community college or university. Daily classes, labs, one-on-one coaching and hands-on experience all combine to launch our students into a successful career in information technology with a deep foundation in Christ.

Two of my daughters have been at Teen Mania for the past two years and have receive incredible experience, great motivation, wonderful insight about of they are and who God is in them.

It's a safe, yet real world environment that prepares them for the rest of their lives.

My two youngest daughters will be heading soon also.

This is a must for any young people that are seeking God's face in their future career choices.

Thanks Tenn Mania and Ron Luce and the rest of the staff...

This will be the second year that I have been with Teen Mania, I have seen some things which I don't agree with, but I wholeheartedly agree with the vision this ministry has for the Teens in this world, and the Lost who they can reach. I have been transformed in my own walk with them as a continue to learn how to draw closer and closer to the Lord. Here I have Learned to strive after the heart of God before I strive after my own righteousness and turn towards God whenever I feel wrongly about myself or anyone else. i have been To Acquire the Fires, on Global Expedition Trips, and through the internship programs.

I have interned with Teen Mania for 2 years and now I am on staff with them. They have their faults like any organization, but those faults are outweighed by the impact they have made on my and many other peoples lives.
While being here, I have solidified my relationship with God and learned what it means to be a true leader - to serve. It has given me the perfect platform to learn on my own and with their direction. I can honestly say that without Teen Mania I know where I would be but I don't think I would like it. I would be doing what I thought I was supposed to do, but I would be empty inside and missing something. And I might be trying to fill that hole in so many other ways than in the way that it is supposed to be filled - with Jesus.

I've gone to an Acquire the fire, through the internship program, and on a Global Expeditions trip. This ministry has encouraged my faith and growth as a believer and I've loved my time here. It is very inspiring to see eighteen-year-olds running much of the ground work of the ministry. There are always mixed reviews because you can't satisfy everyone, but after working with the leadership team the last year, I'm convinced that they try to do what is wise and best in God's eyes and for the good of everyone around them.

I came to Teen Mania as an intern and it was the best experience of my life! They taught me how to live out what the Lord was teaching me and trained and equipped me as a leader. I stayed a few more years as a leader on the campus and got to know the leadership and really respect and trust them. Ron is a great man and is running Teen Mania in a great and honorable way. I trust him completely and know that they are making every effort to be wise with their finances and go out of their way to be honest and transparent with those who are donating as well as anyone with questions or concerns.

The creepiest, most extravagant, useless, and ridiculous organization I've ever encountered. They do not use money wisely. They do not respect interns and volunteers. It turns normal human beings into over-emotional Christian robots and have I mentioned brainwashing? Yes. That too.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Dissolve it.

One of my favorite ministries out there. I went on 2 missions trips with them, worked as an intern for 2 years, worked on staff for a year, went to over 17 Acquire the Fire events, took my youth group to 2 ATF events, and pretty much love everything about it. Going from donor, to volunteer, to participant, to staff, and then back to donor, I've seen all aspects of this organization. The leadership is trustworthy and empathetic, and the ministry makes a serious impact. Want your donation to go a long way? Donate to Teen Mania.

In the past 3 years my teen had gone to 3 Acquire the Fire events and two mission trips out of the US. She'll be going to NY this summer. I honestly have nothing but praise for Teen Mania campus/Global Expeditions/Acquire the Fire. My teen had the best time at all of these events, and the mission trips were life changing in the best way possible. Before the trip she was already a good kid, but she came back with a peace in her heart about God that she had never had. I can't thank them enough for being able to send my kid out of the country and not having one complaint about the experience. However, I do understand how others might have a bad experience with these organizations as the schedule is grueling and the kids work harder than they've ever work on these trips. It's definitely not for everyone. feel free to contact me on my FB page (tiffany vanderhider) if you are a parent and are on the fence about sending your kid on a mission trip.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

sell assigned seating at the Acquire the Fire events. it's crazy when all the teens run in and you can't get your group to sit together

How did you find this group?

Around 2009, I was looking on Nick Vujicic's web site on his tour dates and happened to see he was coming to something called "Acquire the Fire" in Houston. The rest is history...

What, if any, change in your life has this group encouraged?

my teen is an even better and more caring person after the mission trips.

I do not trust Teen Mania after what happened this week. I participated in two Teen Mania mission trips in the past. Now as a 30-something adult, I have concerns about this organization. On my personal blog, I posted a link to the MSNBC documentary "Mind Over Mania." I also wrote in general terms about some of my concerns. I received 2 critical comments on my blog from a woman who represented herself as a neutral third party on my blog. She works for Teen Mania and I traced her IP to Teen Mania. It is a violation of PR code of ethics to represent yourself as a neutral third party when you have a material connection. Their social media manager also has been caught doing this. It is unethical. When I discovered she worked for TM, I told her I would speak with her over the phone about my concerns. I haven't heard from her in close to 48 hours.
