i read about this organization in a cancer newsletter, a small ad. I decided that I would like to see if the mission behind the name was the same. So i wrote a small section about my family and our experiences with cancer. I was well received. The mail came for at least 3 weeks after that with such an outpouring of love in the way of cards, trinkets, you name it. And to my brother as well, who is in the battle. We both want to pass on this same affection and say thank you again and again.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

receiving cards randomly

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

i would make it a must to reach back

Hi, I can't remember if I've already written a review, if I did please excuse me. I met Meaghan when she came to Brigham and Women's Hospital, where I work. She was a delight to be with, very inspiring and kind. I participated in Spirit Jump last year and it made me feel good on the inside to send a little something special to a very sick little boy. I recommend Spirit Jump for anyone who wants to spread some cheer and/or do a good deed.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the sense that I was able to do something good for somebody in need

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

getting the oppurtunity to meet Meaghan in person

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

amazing and inspiring

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

lift the spirits of so many people fighting cancer.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

I have been involved in charity work for many years and I can honestly say that Spirit Jump is the one that I like the most. My cousin is an inspiration to everyone that hears her story and her dedication to this group is an example that all charities need to look at. She never gave up and her strength is now the catalyst for one of the most wonderful organizations in existence. I would strongly urge anyone who reads this to devote whatever spare time and resources you can give to help people who truly need it and will genuinely appreciate every second and every penny you can give.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My own family and many others.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

donate every dollar I had and work every day I could to make these peoples lives better

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Seeing how it impacts people every day and how much joy it brings to their lives

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Passionate

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Do everything it wants to.

Ways to make it better...

I had more money and time to give.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting everyday people to put aside some time to make someones day a little brighter

One thing I'd also say is that...

It feels good to see a charity do so much with so little.

I've been participating for a few months now, and find the opportunity to give whenever I can. Not only is the Spirit Jump a worthy cause in lifting so many spirits, when you participate, the benefits are monumental to the receipient - and to you.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The good feelings that are received from giving and being apart of a worthy opportunity.

I think that Spirit Jump is a truly lovely thing to be a part of! I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to volunteer. The idea is simple and yet so huge. It is so simple to volunteer and there are no pressures, it is really fantastic. It is a real example of what the human spirit can accomplish when put to the test. I'm proud to be apart of such a group and hope to contribute as often as I can. Sometimes just knowing you are not alone makes all the difference. Spirit Jump allows strangers to connect across the the world in a really unique way. It also supports and encourages handmade artisans and their businesses. People continue to amaze me everyday. The founders of Spirit Jump...amaze me. Spirit Jump is wonderful.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

well, it's actually really great. They always post feedback about patients, how they are doing, their response to their "spirit jump", etc. So it's nice to hear that you made a difference. Then you move on with your day. It's all very simple.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that it has uplifted my spirits just by simply reaching out to help a stranger. We all could use more of that in our everyday lives.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

sincere, helpful, and kind.

Spirit Jump is such a worthy organization! Helping to boost the spirits of people fighting cancer, letting them know that other people care about them and what they are going through, can help those people better muster their own inner strengths to keep on going. This sincere, enthusiastic, and well organized non profit changes lives!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

emails written by people who have benefited first hand from the support offered to them.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

continue to work hard to get ourselves known in the community.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the enthusiasm AND organizational skills of the coordinators. Too often people have one or the other.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated, responsible, with first hand experience.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach out to hospital social workers across the country, connecting patients with volunteers to provide support with cards and small gifts, such as reading materials, videos, knitting supplies, whatever may be appreciated.

Ways to make it better...

since I have to complete this sentence, I am now doing so.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

exposure and funds. People need to know about them in order to donate to them, and they need donations to provide little spirit boosting gifts to the people fighting cancer they wish to support.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I was once mistakenly diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, it's a lonely battle, and connections with others, and the greater community, really help.

I think this is a beautiful idea. Having had many close to me fight the cancer battle I've seen how important it is to feel you're not alone.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

reading the blogs of greatful recipients.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The feeling I could really contribute to make someone's life a little better. I was able to do something specific for individuals, and it was a very good feeling for me, and I hope for the jumpees.

I haven't been too involved in Spirit Jump but my mom has, and somedays it's all she talks about. She loves sending cards to people who have cancer and other diseases. My sister died in May of 2008 and my mom is a Spirit Jumper in my sister's honor. I think Spirit Jump is a great thing.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

it makes my mom very happy to participate.
