We are dedicated to improving outcomes for children, youth and families through strengths-based training and practice in education and social services. We help parents, teachers, principals, managers, social workers and direct care staff to strengthen their interaction skills and maximize performance so that children, youth and families thrive.
Our Parenting/Family Support Model (SPIN VHT) is currently being implemented in various organizations throughout the East Coast. In New York, NY, Albany, NY and Lanham, MD organizations are integrating our direct service model into their foster care and mother-baby programs with incredible success. In California, SPIN USA just completed a multi-year training project that implemented our Executive Coaching and Leadership Development Model (SPIN VIG) in Fresno County. As a result, Fresno County has 4 certified Coaches and 2 certified Trainers who have the capacity to continue implementing and expanding the model to improve performance child welfare agencies throughout the county.
We are dedicated to improving outcomes for vulnerable children, youth and families nationwide. To accomplish this mission, we train and teach staff in educational settings, child welfare, public health, and other social service organizations HOW to implement programs and practices that increase accountability by enabling individuals and systems to identify and employ their strengths, capacities and resources to meet targeted outcomes and overcome challenges.

PARENTING/FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM MODEL (SPIN VHT): Our parenting and family support/therapy program model provides professional and paraprofessional staff with a research-based model for assessing parents’ and families’ strengths and using those strengths as the building blocks for adding new and expanded skills to improve family functioning and support parents in their role as the primary caregivers, nurturers and educators of their children. PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION, MODEL FIDELITY, AND PRACTICE MODEL (SPIN VIG): Our coaching/training model underscores the central role that supervisors and staff supervision & development must play in order to positively impact the quality and success or an organization's practice and achievement of targeted program outcomes. IN EDUCATION: Gives supervisors in schools and other educational settings new skills and concrete tools for strengthening the capacity of teachers and care- givers in community-based programs to understand and integrate current research in brain development and cognition into classroom practice. IN CHILD WELFARE, PUBLIC HEALTH & OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES: Gives supervisors in helping professions new skills and a specific tool and method for regular supervision that strengthens program implementation, improves practice, strengthens model fidelity, and improves program/client outcomes. EXECUTIVE COACHING & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT (SPIN VIG): Our coaching/training model provides current and emerging leaders with a concrete, results-driven method for enhancing performance at every level of an organization. Particular focus is given to the specific skills that support a leader’s capacity to build, motivate and lead individual staff and teams to success.

As a current Board Member, I know, from my involvement with SPIN USA internally, how dedicated the staff members of SPIN are to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families. Through their training, SPIN USA helps struggling parents see their potential to be loving, nurturing primary caregivers to their children. The unique and invaluable service that SPIN USA provides and their commitment to nurture, empower and transform vulnerable children and families makes SPIN USA a Great Nonprofit. SPIN USA is an amazing, effective, innovative organization. By integrating current research and theory, SPIN USA is impacting educational and social service agencies at multiple levels. Their work is so exciting because it effectively improves outcomes for struggling children and families at the direct service level, but it also impacts the ability of an organization to successfully achieve its mission.
