Reviews for Southfield High School Instrumental Music Support Group Shsimsg
The Southfield High School Marching Band is great group of youth who have a passion for their Band and music programs. They love what they do and are constantly practicing to hone thier skills. Throughout the Band season they perform in several competitions throughout the band season. They are the highlight of the show wherever they go! We are currently fundraising to attend the Liberty Bowl in Memphis TN in December 2010 and we need financial assistance
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The camaraderie of a great group of youth who love music and have worked tirelessly to perfect their Marching Band.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find a way to give them more exposure and more musical opportunity. We have a great group of Board members and parents who see the vision of the Band Director, but more is better.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The enthusiasm of the Board members and volunteers.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Great! Helpful, interested in the music education and experiences of their kids
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
First the organization would donate to middle schools to assist with their music program needs. The SHSIMSG would then buy new uniforms, instruments, build a new Band and Orchestra Room with airconditioning and adequate heating.
Ways to make it better...
We did not worry about money.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
parental participation and fundraising
One thing I'd also say is that...
I hope someone finds it in their hearts to help our Band financially so that these youth can have the musical experiences that they deserve.
