SAVMC Foundation is a non profit organization that supports the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery with special beautification projects. They funded the construction of a "Historical Soldiers' Memorial Cemetery" for 58 soldiers from the 1860s that was relocated there from an Archeological project in Tucson Arizona. They are helping fund raising efforts for the AMVETS Carillon bell tower project this year. This $100,000 project is a living memorial for our fallen veterans.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

This organization is made of veterans and families of veterans. Their hearts and dedication have been set on honoring those interred at the veterans cemetery through project.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The extreme care and attention to detail for these projects.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Veterans and families of veterans. Most of the volunteers belongs to veteran or veteran support organizations.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Maintain and enhance the Veteran cemeteries in Arizona

Ways to make it better...

Nothing... They are great bunch of folks.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Fund raising.

One thing I'd also say is that...

we include boy scout and girl scouts in beautification projects. They are our future leaders of america.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week
