Mission:
Shaler Area EMS (SAEMS) was created in 1993 when Shaler Township's fire departments merged their emergency medical operations to improve efficiency through greater economies of scale. SAEMS' seeks to provide the best possible emergency medical care to those who work, live, commute, and shop in Shaler Township. SAEMS fulfills a basic community need by providing pre-hospital care to those who find themselves in life-threatening situations. SAEMS believes that all communities should have access to high quality and efficient emergency medical care.
