Rewind about a year ago, I was "just another veteran" struggling to find motovation, and lost as to what I was still physically capable of. In April of 2011 I was invited to atend a cycling event from DC to Gettysburg. I utilized a rental bike and from then I was re-addicted to cycling. Being an unemployed veteran, in the middle of a fellowship that paid a minimal stipend made it impossible to afford the bike that I could rehabilitate my injuries on and continue to find my drive! Enter Semper Fit/SFHW I had posted a wish on Wish Upon A Hero and cross posted it to my Facebook. The Co-Founder saw my post on their page and got in in touch with their cycling cordinator. After that inital contact... I had a top grade bike that would allow me to continue to ride, rehabilitate my injuries -both invisible and visible, and regain control of my OWN health and wellness!
