Mission: To educate the public relating to conservation issues of importance in jackson hole
Programs: Researchanalysis was used both internally and to educate citizens on local development issues. Staff evaluated proposals for development and proposed changes in land development regulations for our area. Analysis was done to determine the impact of the proposals on our community. This included reviewing staff reports from the local planning departments and attending meetings to provide public input on the proposals.
educationinformation was disseminated on issues that affected our community. Education consisted of emails to our contact list, posting information on our website and by advertisements in our local newspaper. Staff used analysis from our research to provide information to local citizens on a number of issues in our core area of concern which is maintaining the rural character of the jackson hole area. Some key issues this year were changes to land development regulations to support the comprehensive plan and transportation issues.
outreachstaff participated in workshops held by town and county planning department staff to provide feedback on proposed changes to the regulations. In 2014 emphasis was on the land development regulations proposed to support the comprehensive plan. We also met with individual citizens and small groups of citizens to discuss issues that concerned them.
