Mission: To provide competent and trained volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in need of services from the court appointed special advocate program operated under the jurisdiction of the juvenile and domestic relations court of the 15th judicial district.
Programs: The primary program is to train and support volunteers who are appointed by the courts to represent abused and neglected children in court matters. During the fiscal year ended june 30, 2015, the organization had 47 volunteers (including board members) who contributed 8,014 hours in support of 135 children. Volunteers and/or staff attended 166 court hearings prepared to testify. Volunteers submitted court reports in 132 hearings. The court considered 70% of the recommendations made by the casa, and incorporated 92% of those into their court orders.
