Everyone who visits Quantum Leap Farm falls in love with this amazing nonprofit organization.

As a volunteer, I've had the opportunity to meet hundreds of clients who have expressed how they and their families have benefited from the therapeutic sessions at the farm. The founder, staff, board members, volunteers and therapy animals, all work together, putting their heart and soul into creating a healing environment for pediatric cancer patients, military veterans, and individuals with a wide-variety of physical and mental impairments.

Truly a gift to the Tampa Bay area that is helping young and old alike.

Quantum Leap Farm, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization founded in 2000, is nationally recognized equestrian program serving injured and disabled civilian adults and children, military service members and their families. We are able to provide these services only through the generous support of our local community and individuals like you.

Since 2003 I have been volunteering each week with Quantum Leap Farm. Over the years I have witnessed first hand the amazing relationships that are made between horse and client and also QLF staff members/volunteers and our clients. So many times the "I can't" becomes "Look what I did".

I especially enjoying working with the war veterans that come from our local V.A. Hospital in Tampa. The wounds of war are often invisible, and I think that the bonding with horses helps to facilitate the healing process of any depression, anxiety or PTSD injuries. The Family fun days put on for military families are always a good time. What a nice way to say thank you for serving our country.

Quantum Leap Farm provides equine physical therapy to the disabled both physically and emotionally. Quantum Leap is among only a handful of facilities that provides equine physical therapy and emotional therapy via horses to our Veterans. The facility is clean, calming and serene. It promotes a feeling of calmness and joy in watching the farm animals and wildlife.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the excellen therapy they have provided to catastrophic veterans from Iraq and Afaganistan. From wheelchair bound to walking short distance with assistance.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Hire additional office personnell to help with the overwhelming job of constantly looking for funding.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the kindness they show to all clients, volunteers and staff.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

They are all very helpfull and kind

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

build new buildings, build more horse stalls, buy more horses, buy new equipment, build a handicap walkway through the property and increase there paid staff to ease the stress in thier daily lifes.

Ways to make it better...

Had more help and more therapy horses.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Finding funding to help pay for the increase in clients due to the current wars.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I am a disabled veteran and a retired registered nurse. I can say QLF has been a life saver for many veterans. They provide a service that few places in the U.S. offer and it is all done through volunteers and donations. Please Help if you Can.
